School-wide Ideas

Recycling Stations

Have the same sorting stations in each classroom. Sometimes your hauler will provide them for free. Have the sorting station and one trash can in the same area. When people are educated about what goes where and they have a choice, they will make the right choice. However, if a classroom has scattered trash cans and recycling containers many people will just toss things in the closest container. Also have uniform signage. Your hauler will often have these available for free download.
